Grammar Settings Not Saved for Word 2008

P

Psymac

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

Unable to get grammar settings to be saved, go into Preferences, then Spelling/Grammar, and then choose Settings under Grammar. Choose any of them (e.g. double space between sentences or Capitalization), close all windows, quit Word. Open Word, no preferences are saved, all back to default.

Sorry, this is a known issue. You don't even need to quit Word, I don't
think--it seems to wipe as soon as you exit Prefs.

Have you already installed the 12.0.1 update? It would be helpful to
confirm whether or not that fixed it.

Letting MS know this affected you may help raise the priority on the
bug--send feedback here:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/suggestions.mspx
or by using Help | Send Feedback in Word.
