Graph bars are shrinking!

J

Judy

Using PP2003:

When I update the data chart by adding a column the graph bars become so
thin they look lines instead of bars. There is PLENTY of space between each
bar (only five columns of data are shown and the graph is the only thing on
the slide).

I tried going into Format Data Series | Options and decreasing the gap width
to 0, which helped slightly but did not sufficiently resolve. Is there
another way, manually or automatically, to increase the bar size.

Thank you for your time.

Do you have extra empty data series? Like, maybe you deleted the *data* but
not the series itself.

On your datasheet, click in the row or column after your data and choose
Data | Exclue Row/Column from the menu.

Does that take care of it?

No, unfortunately it did not. Nothing changed. And I just noticed, the final
bar in the graph is visible but the corresponding date on the X axis is
missing (the other four dates to the left are present).

I welcome any of your other suggestions, and thanks again!

Hi,

Sounds like the skinny columns are due to the axis being treated as Time
series rather than Category.
Right click > Chart Options > Axes

Cheers
