Whenever I try to make the numbers on my y axis 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on, it
keeps on becoming 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and so on and I don't want that. Can someone
help me?

Double-click the axis and go to the Number tab. Remove the decimals there.

You may also need to adjust the major/minor settings on the Scale tab.
