graphic disappear in Outlook 2003

When pasting graphics into email - and goe to another window - the graphic
disappears - all you see is the outline. Can cursor over it and it will
display, outlook 2003, sp1 with word as the editor with html. Is there a
fix to where the graphic stays displayed?
