Graphical indicator issue

When I set a graphical indicator for an Enterprise Custom Field, and then I
use that enterprise custom field in a view, the view displays the value of
the field, but not the correct graphic.

Project schedule shows G when edited from PWA, but shows a green icon when
published from project 2007. Why doesn't it show the green icon when edited
in PWA?

What type of custom enterprise field (Task, Resource, or Project)? What
type of field (Number, Text, etc.)? What is the exact formula in the field?
Have you actually published the project using File - Publish since the
Project Server administrator created this custom field? Where in PWA do you
not see the graphical indicator (which View precisely)? Let us know.

Dale,

Thanks for the quick response. Here are the answers:

What type of custom enterprise field (Task, Resource, or Project)?
Project

What type of field (Number, Text, etc.)?
Number

What is the exact formula in the field?
[Actual Cost]/[Budget Cost]

(I’ve tried multiple permutations, including functions to replace a 0 Budget
Cost value with 1, to avoid DIV/0 as an issue, but this is how it currently
is set.)

The graphical indicator is: when “equals 0†then display one image, and
when “does not equal 0†then display another image.

Have you actually published the project using File - Publish since the
Project Server administrator created this custom field?
Yes.

Where in PWA do you not see the graphical indicator (which View precisely)?
Let us know.
A custom Project Center view called “Operations Executive Dashboard –
Execution.†This view also has a graphical indicator that properly displays
for a text field that is manually entered.

Jay:

If you use graphical indicators in your projects, you should never use the
publish function from PWA. You should exclusively use the Project client to
publish as using the PWA publish funciton will always wipe out your
graphical indicator display unless this gets corrected in the first service
pack.
