Graphics and newsletter style Word columns

How do you wrap text around an inserted graphic in a newsletter style Word
2000 column? My 'Format Picture' options are all greyed out!

If you're really using newspaper-style columns, then you should be able to
wrap graphics. If your columns are created with text boxes, then you can't
wrap text around graphics because text boxes are already in the drawing
layer.
