Graphics are randomly changing to balnk boxes?

Hi,

I'm creating a manual and importing JPG's and all of a sudden, all of my
images have changed to the standard box with a red X in the middle. The only
way to remedy this is to delete the blank boxes and re-insert the JPG's again.

Anyone know why this is happening?
