graphics deteriorating on website

I have used Frontpage 2002 to build my website; www.victoriasculptor.com
When I created the site my pictures were all sharp and clear. Now after
about 6-7 months the photos and graphics are not as clear and sharp. They
seem to be deteriorating in quality.
Does anyone know what causes this and what I need to do in order to fix the
situation. Is there a way to prevent this from happening or is it just the
"lay of the land."
I have scanned in my 35mm photos. They are not digital prints.
Thank you, Victoria Stautzenberger

I don't know if this is the problem or not but ... jpg
files will lose their resolution if they are opened and
saved over and over. Have you somehow been opening and
saving these files mulitple times?

This might come about during your publishing process. How
do you publish changes to your site? Do you publish using
the changed files only switch set or do you do a full
publish each time? For that matter, are you using
the "http" method of publishing (your host would have to
have the Front Page Extensions) or are you using an FTP
approach to publishing?

Perhaps others on this newsgeroup will have other
questions but basically, we need some more clues to your
puzzle.

I don't quite know what you mean - those images in your Gallery look fine to me -
crisp and clear.

Unlike car tires, images do not wear out from use. Perhaps you are
inadvertantly saving them multiple times, and eroding the quality.

BTW - they look fine to me.
