I'm typing a document in the Publishing Layout of Microsoft Word 2008. The graphics disappears on most of the pages, but I know it is there because the pictures show up in print preview. In addition, when I try to place a graphic into some pages, there is a space that indicates that the graphic was placed there, but some of them do not show up even on print preview. Does someone know what in the world could be wrong?

The most likely suspects :)

Go to Word> Preferences, in the View prefs make sure there is a check in the
Drawings box & no check in the Image Placeholders box, then in the Print
prefs make sure there is a check in the Drawing Objects box.

If those settings don't correct the situation you'll need to provide a good
deal more information, including;

Specific Office version update...
Exactly what "graphics" includes ‹ that's a very general term...
Is this an original document or is it based on one of the Publication
templates? If a template, which one?...
Any additional details you can supply.
