I an using outlook 2003 connected to an exchange server.
I have a user who would like to put a company logo in the email signature
that appears at the bottom of all his emails. I created a jpg. file that
isn't *too* big and inserted that into the signature (Tools | options |mail
format | Signatures).
The "create signature" window shows a decent enough looking graphic in all
red, as it should be.
When I create a new email, the logo appears, but the image quality is
degraded (stray dots) and is is no long red on white but now appears as
black on white.
If I right-click the image in the email the properties indicate an image
source of:
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/username/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Signatures/sig%20line_files/image002.gif
This suggests to me that outlook has done some conversion of the image (the
image is a .gif and no longer a .jpg).
Is there a way to stop this conversion, or get it to maintain the original
color/quality?
Thanks,
Steve
