Graphics in Powerpoint 'breaking up' when screen resolution is cha

We have just upgraded to Office-XP from Office-2K. Now we are finding that when a screen resolution is changed to '16bit' the graphcis in the powerpoint presentations is 'breaking-up', they are OK when using 256.

Try 32-bit instead of 16-bit or 256.
