Graphics in PP 2007 show as blue rectangles in PP 2003

Bellevue Ed

I am running Office 2007. I have saved the PowerPoint file in 2000-2003
format, but all of the new graphics I added today (cut and pasted from
SnagIt) appear as blue rectangles to users of PowerPoint 2003.

The file is an edited version of an existing file, which was created on the
same computer a few days ago using the same tools. Those graphics from the
earlier editing appear correctly.

I have saved the file as PPTX and reconverted to PPT with no change in
results. I'm not sure what else I can do. What is the problem?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Ed

I tried to repro this but it always worked perfectly. Using snaggit 8 and
2007 and 2003 sp3

If you would like / are able to send me a ppt file with the problem I'll
gladly take a look. Probably best if you send the corresponding pptx

Instead of cutting and pasting from SnagIt, save the images in PNG format
and insert them into PowerPoint via Insert - Graphics - From file.

When you are in SnagIt (Versions 7 and newer at least), you can send the
output directly to PPT. Look towards the right side of the capture window
toolbar - there should be a PPT button there. See if that fixes the problem.
If not, you will need to go with Ute's suggestion.

You can send to Word that way as well. If you check TechSmith's site, you
will find all kind of other output accessories. See here:
