graphics won't print or show in Print Preview

Suddenly all of the graphics I have used in .docs in the past are not
printing. And the text portion of the document appears in print preview as
though there were never any graphics included in the .doc. They do not print;
they do not show in print preview. Yet they are there in Print Layout just as
they were originally placed and formatted.
Help! This is driving me nuts.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Print tab | check the
"Drawing objects" box | OK.
