Gray Background on New Messages

Today I am moving to a new computer. When I start a new message in Outlook 2003,
the background of the body of the message is gray. I have never seen that
before. If I change to Plain Text instead of HTML, the background disappears,
but I want to use HTML. How can I get rid of the gray background?

The problem is that IE was not set to "Use Windows Colors". I wonder why that
happened, but I guess it doesn't matter.
