Greek language pack craches word 2007

Big problem with Greek language in office 2007.
I installed greek version of office 2007 and word crashes opening greek
files (with hyphenation in automatic mode). No problem opening file in
english.
I installed english version and everything works well (no greek hyphenation
and spell tools of course). I installed greek language pack on the top of
english version and word crashes again. I uninstalled language pack and all
ok again.
Same issue on all installations of my greek friends (at least 4 pc).
Any ideas, please....

Greek in it in 2007, save and reopen that?

Yes, with particular files only. No problem with completely new files. But I
can not use the majority of my old files, word crashes and I lose my unsaved
work.
I forgot to say that all are vista installations.

created, which one was the last one to save it?

These are files created with office 2003 and I can open them with english
Office 2007 (without greek language pack). The problem is the greek
hyphenation and spelling. There is something wrong with the version included
in office 2007.
It is a big problem and all the people in our office want their office 2003
back.

Can you email me one of the files that causes this crash please? I'd
like to take a look at it myself, and if I get the same error, ask
Microsoft to take a look at it.

I have very similar problem with Russian. When I start to enter Russian text
then accursed Word 2007 abends under Windows XP. I have no problem with Word
2003.

Is that with the Russian version of Word or the Russian language pack
installed?

It is English version of Word. I use Unicode for the Russian text, Russian
spellcheck switched off. When I COPY Russian text from Word 2003 to Word 2007
it abends and closes. The same happens when I try to open docs with Russian
text created by Word 2003.

pack installed means that it either is the Greek version of Office 2007,
or that the Greek Single Language Pack has been installed on top of an
Office in a different language.

Why would you copy text from Word 2003 to 2007 by the way? It is
probably not a good idea to have two different versions of Word open at
the same time...

Same problem here. German Office 2007 Pro, works fine. I purcased and
installed the Greek Language Pack (installes onlx the greek proofing tools).
After that, Word (i did not checked other Applications) crashes every time i
open a document in greek language.
OS is Vista 32, German.

Microsoft has confirmed the crash, and there will most likely be a fix.
However, I have no idea when that fix will be available.
