Green triangle in corner of text box

How do I get rid of the green triangle in the corner of my
box when I create something that is text that could also
be seen as a number? i.e. 01 comes up with this or 117

On the menu go to Tools, Options, Error Checking. Either
uncheck the box entitled Enable Background Error Checking
or just uncheck the specific error for which you don't
want it to check (in this case Numbers Stored As Text).
