Grid problem

Hi

I am changing over from Works (.wdb) to Excel (.xls) and have run into a
problem.

I want to print a table with the grid.

I've ticked the button 'grid' (I assume that this is what it is called in
English cos my system is French).

I've also chosen a line to go around the cells.

But when I look at the page about to be printed, there is no grid and it
doesn't come out when I print either.

This is basic stuff but I can't work it out.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Excel supports Grids and borders.

Grids can be shown on the screen: Tools|Options|View|Gridlines
Or shown when you print:
File|Page setup|Sheet Tab|gridlines.

If you can't see the gridlines on the screen or when you print, maybe it's
because the fill color is blocking it.

Format|cell|patterns|choose no color.

Personally, I don't like the gridlines. I like the borders. I have more
control over where they go and what they look like.

Format|cells|border tab.

And those should print nicely.

Hi

It seems to block when I ask for a rough copy.

I kind of stumbled on to this, half by instinct and half by accident.

Thanks anyway

Ah, a draft copy. I'm kind of surprised that anyone uses this. Did you select
it on purpose?

Yeeeh

It's there to be used I guessed and what with the price of ink cartridges
these days.......

Anyway, that seems to have been 'the problem'

Bye
