gridlines in word

Hi:

I am using XP and I have a document that was created in Word then saved in
Excel and later saved in Word once again. I cannot remove the gridlines that
appear by using "Table", "Hide/Show Gridlines". This feature does indeed
hide the gridlines but when I resave the document it is still the same size.
Size is the problem as these lines are making the document to big to save to
a floppy disk.

Hi Tricia,

What you have is borders, not gridlines. See
http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs/HideGridlines.htm.

Gridlines don't have anything to do with the file size. Borders might, but
I'd think it would make a very small addition.
