Please can someone tell me how to make a grid to use for a word search
puzzle. 15 squares wide by 13 squares deep and how to get the letters into
the centre of each square. This is for a competition in a club newsletter. I
have small business edition of ms office inc. excel, word, publisher

best regards nennie

Create a table 15 squares wide by 13 squares deep, highlight the entire
table, and use Words 'format cell' feature to centre text in each box.. then
enter the letters..

I'm not sure which "Format cell" feature you are referring to, there
is a Format/Cells command in Excel, but not in Word.

To center text in a table cell both vertically and horizontally use
the Tables and Borders toolbar (View/Toolbars) and use the Cell
Alignment command: Align Center.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
