Groove 07 and Excel 07

When opening spreadsheets in Groove, I get the message "Microsoft
Excel has stopped working...". Then sometimes it recovers and
sometimes it closes Excel. I have to go through many daily Excel
files, how do I fix this?

Hi GS -

I'm not sure that Groove is causing this.

It might help if you run Excel from the Start menu rather than waiting for
it to start up as a result of double-clicking the file in Groove. If you keep
Excel running then opening files will be quicker.

If you sometimes have difficulty finding your Excel files, then our Toucan
FieFinder for Groove (FREE) might be helpful. It can also launch your Excel
files.

I would make sure that all service packs, and updates to office 2007 have
been installed.

Excel is running when this happens.

Updates are up to date.

I think I have to reinstall Excel.

OK,

I set up the same laptop running XP on a new hard drive.

New install of Excel. New install of Groove.

Same problem.

FIXED!

It was a little app called winxpvirtualcdcontrolpanel_21. This is an
unsupported utility from Microsoft that allows you to mount ISOs.

I had this loaded on both machines.I took this out...problem solved.
