I have been working with groove 3.1 due to issues that I had in the past
with 2007. I thought that if I had a totally reinstalled computer that 2007
would be fine.. Well guess what. after about 2 hours and working with a
number of different workspaces and developing a new form. I needed to open
another workspace giving 4 open at this time . I get a popup saying "Please
wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Groove 2007 (Beta)" once that
had finished it then has another popup with "The configuration chagnes made
to Microsoft Office Groove 2007 (Beta) will not take effect until your
computer has been restarted. Would you like to restart now? Yes or No"

I'd really like to find out a number of things:
1. What is Groove actually trying to configure as I have already
installed the application and rebooted the computer
2. Who else is having this problem
3. Is the current beta the latest version and the groove reference to
beta 2 is not correct.

does Anyone have any suggestion?

I am trying to convince a global organisation to take this product seriouly.
Is it a case that I might have to wait until Groove 2008 before putting this
solution up?

1. What is Groove actually trying to configure as I have already installed
the application and rebooted the computer

I don't know the exact action. Normally, after the program installing
process, it need to restart the computer to finish the *.DLL files
registration and the editing in Registry Editor. However, it

2. Who else is having this problem
I don't know.

3. Is the current beta the latest version and the groove reference to
beta 2 is not correct.

Yes, the latest version if Groove 2007 beta 2. Later, the full version of
Groove 2007 will be released. I don't think that there is Groove 2008. :)

Hi,

This is a known bug we are fighting for now. I believe it will be fixed
before normal release.
