Groove 3.1 to 2007 Upgrade

We want to upgrade from Groove 3.1 to Groove 2007, but there are some
questions left.
Whats the best way to upgrade? It is a good idea to install 2007, import all
old workspaces, create new spaces in 2007 and build up the spaces from
scratch to have completely new and clean workspaces? Some of our spaces were
created with Groove 2.1 and are few years old.
On the other side it would be very hard to convert every workspace by hand.
For exmple the file and the notepad tool doesn't have a complete
export/import function, hence we would have to export/import every single
file/note by hand, which is not an option for more than 1000+ files/notes.

The technote c1sbc posted gives you the steps to work through when upgrading
to 2007 from 3.1 but there are some pointers I would like to throw in:

1. I would suggest migrating the data from the 2.1 workspaces into newly
created 3.1 workspaces. The reason for this is that there are some
optimization changes that took place between the version that the 2.1 spaces
could not take advantage of. Also with the release of Groove 2007 support
for Groove 2.x was deprecated.

2. If your migration is occurring over a period of time (there will be a mix
of 3.1 and 2007 users using Groove at the same time) make sure to let your
3.1 users know they cannot participate in 2007 created spaces but 2007 users
can be invited into 3.1 spaces.
