Groove Help/grv file

R

Rhonda

My computer had some issues, and in the process, I lost my Groove software. I
have reinstalled groove, but here is my problem. My administrator has invited
me via email and through the workspace to rejoin. The invite through email
links me to a grv file, which my computer does not recognize. The invite
through the workspace that she is sending says that it is waiting for
delivery, but I am not receiving it.

Can anyone help? It would be much appreciated:)

Hi Rhonda,

Since the invitation is in the status of waiting for delivery, it sounds as
if your account picked it up and sent it along to the person who invited you.
Because the message is “Sent, waiting for delivery†that means it has left
your computer and is waiting for the person who sent you the invitation to go
online and send you the space. You should verify that the person who sent
you the invitation is online and running Groove.

Hi Rhonda,

I think Greg missed the "by email" in your description. The status would be
significant in the manner he describes if the invitation was sent with
Groove. From your description, your problem is that your computer doesn't
recognize a .grv file as something that should be opened by Groove.

That is surprising; that association should be created by the Groove
installation. You have two options:
* Reinstall/repair Groove (don't uninstall first).
* Right-click on the .grv file, choose "Open with" and then browse to
groove.exe. Click to select "Always use this program to open this kind of
file" before clicking OK, and you should not have to do this again.

If you find other odditiies in the behavior of Groove, I suggest the
reinstall option, however, this may be the only problem. To get past this
point, "Open With" is quicker.

I hope this helps!
