groove invitation not working

I sent an email invitation to someone for a groove workspace, he got it,
downloaded groove, reclicked the invite, and it says on his end that the
program is waiting for me to be online (which I am). And on my end, it
doesn't show any trace of my even sending the invite, even in the message
history function (which I'm assuming is the place I should see the status).
What's the holdup, and is there some security setting I should be checking?

you're using.
