Groove on Windows 7 Pro 32bit. First time everything worked

Calitech

I had Groove working on my XP machine last year and I use it with a group of
people. I upgraded to Windows 7 and was able to get it working, but not after
another reinstall of Windows 7. I backed up my profile and was able to do the
grooveclean.exe -all and then copy the profile folder back, but I am not able
to download the groove data. it stops after 5.??kb
I have had the main person send me another invite and I accept it and then
it states that it is waiting for the other person to open it or accept it.
I have tried back on an XP machine and still the same thing. The only
difference is the acceptance says that it was opened, but the other user said
they never received it.
I have tried to create a new account and start over with the invite and
still no luck.
Any help would be great.

Hi there,

So this sounds like a jam in your communications. First thing you should do
is run a grooveclean without the /all – just grooveclean. Make sure that
your Groove is completely shut down and there is no Groove process running.

After the grooveclean, Have each user you collaborate with delete your old
account from the spaces and delete your contact file from their contacts.
Then you should go to Options > Preferences > Account and delete all of the
computers that no longer have your account and are no longer in use. The
computer in bold will be the current computer you are using.

Then, go to Options > Preferences > Identities and export your contact file.
Send this to your colleagues. Have them double click the file to add your
contact file to their accounts.

Finally, have another user right click the space you need in their
Launchbar. Have them select “Invite to workspace†and have them enter in
your account name. Send this invitation via Groove and make sure your
computer is online and running Groove at the same time.
Go through the invitation download and installation and see if this works.
