Groove vs. Sharepoint

Can anyone explain the difference between SharePoint server
capabilities vs. Groove server capabilities concerning MS Project and
document sharing?

Thanks!

SharePoint is strictly a server-based collaboration technology. What's
groovy about groove is that you can collaborate peer-to-peer as well as
through server services.

Okay, and one more question (this is the first I have heard of Groove)

Would you have to have Sharepoint to coincide with Groove to have
Groove fully integrated? I just finished the demo provided by
Microsoft, and they mentioned "publish to SharePoint".
Thanks.

The both work independently of each other. While I'm fairly certain that
Microsoft is working a tight integration, I don't thinks this round is going
to be all that tight with SharePoint. It's reasonable considering how
recently Microsoft bought the technology, You should get yourself over to
the Groove home page and the Groove newsgroups as well.
