I need to apply a incremental number by group of data. if I have
18 29TH ST 1

18 29TH ST 1
0 MARGARET ST 2
0 MARGARET ST 2
0 OLD PENZANCE RD
0 ZIG ZAG ALY 3
0 ZIG ZAG ALY 3

I need to return the following
18 29TH ST 1

18 29TH ST 1
0 MARGARET ST 2
0 MARGARET ST 2
0 OLD PENZANCE RD
0 ZIG ZAG ALY 3
0 ZIG ZAG ALY 3

based on the duplication of the records

I'm not sure what you are trying to do since your "if I have" example
exactly matches your "I need to return" example.

Are trying to get excel to count the number of duplicate entries?
If that's the case us =countif(A:A,A1)
(If the addresses are listed in Column A
