Group Schedules - Tracking responses

Using Outlook Exchange Server 2003 on SBS 2003 R2.
We have a calendar in Public Folders and an associated Group Schedule. It
will not track responses to meeting invites as "the appointment is not in
your main calendar"

This is very irritating - is there a fix?
