grouped view in PWA showing too many identical dates

I have a "rollup" view in project center (PWA). The actual technique
is "grouped by." Unfortunately the start and finish dates show for
every line in each roll-up bar, even though I only need it twice, once
showing a start-finish range for all projects contained in that group
(if at all), and one on the line containing the name of each
indivdiual project.
Visually, there are 3 grey bars, the first showing the name of the
office overseeing the project; the next, indented, showing the name of
the sub-office, also indented; the third showing the name of the
Project manager, indented further. Below that are light yellow bars,
indented the furthest, showing any number of projects under those
categories. Those are the only bars for which I want dates to display
within the start/finish columns. Any way to get rid of the gray bar
dates? (The dates in each grey bar in a series are identical: they
show the start date of the earliest project below them and the finish
date of the last project below them. I only need this once, if at
all, not 3 times!)

I have a sneaky suspicion that this is impervious to change.

Hi, you cannot delete the start/finish dates as they are required in order to
correctly display the summary bars in the gantt chart.
