Grouping in Project Center 2007

Hi,
I have a custom enterprise project field named Region:
Europe
Great Britain
Germany
France
USA
California
Nevada
Arizona

In the Project Center, I can get the total Work (or Cost) for Germany, for
California... but I would like to have also the total at the upper level :
Europe, USA....
How can i do that ?

Hi Robert,

when you groub by your curstom field in the Project Center, you should be
able to see also the first level group ( Europe etc). If this is not the
case, your view was set up to only display the second level of the custom
field. You are able to change this view under server settings > Manage Views.

I spoke too fast ;-((
That way, the system displays only the level 1 but it does not sum up any
data at this level ;-((
Anay other idea ?

I have checked it on mine and it does sum up. CAn you tell me what figures
you would like to have summed up? Also check if Cost etc is actually summed up

If you are using PS2007 you need to apply SP1 for this functionality.

If you are using PS2007 you need to apply SP1 for this functionality.

please install SP1, but this functionality that you are after does not
require SP1.

SP1 provides a new activeX control which enables hierarchical codes to
behave as they did in PS2003, i.e indenting and summarising for each
level of the hierarchy. Pre SP1 does not group in this manner.

Hi Marc,

So what have I to do to get the Total work for Europe and for USA, as well
as the detailed statistics for France, Germany.... in the Project Center ?

Hi Robert,

in my oppinion you should see this already, but I cannot test this at this
stage since I only have SP1 instances here. Mike suggests that you will have
to install SP1. Try this out and see if it updates the values. From my
understanding it should do this outomatically.
Let me know how you went after SP1 upgrade
