Grouping on a Yes/No field?

Hi All,
I have a report that I group on different fields in the Open event.
I have a problem if I group on a Yes/No field where the records aren't all
the same...

If all the records have the field set the same way, no problem. If
they are mixed, Access goes out to la la land. The task manager shows it
chugging away, but after many minutes, it never has finished formatting the
report.

I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong that could be messing this up.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas?
