"growing" arrow - controlling spead of animation

Hi All
Regarding the "growing" arrow question from 5/3/04. Really cute idea, I can use it in my lesson plans, but....

Everything went smoothly creating the arrow until the directions about slowing the Wipe speed to 5 seconds. Is this only available in a new version of power point?
I can change the timing of each element of the arrow appearing, but I can't controll the Wipe speed of each element

Is it time for me to get an upgrade?

The upgrade from 2000 to XP (2002) or 2003 is very worthwhile,
PowerPointwise. You will have a whole bag of new stuff you can play with.

My vote (without knowing your budget) is, yes.
