growing arrow

I'd like to animate an arrow line so that it grows to connect 2 words (on
opposite sides of the slide). I'm using powerpoint XP and can't seem to
figure out how to do it.

Seagull,
Select your arrow, in the custom animation task pane click on Add effect -
Entrance - Wipe - choose from left/from right according to what you want to
do in the direction box, ajust the speed if necessary. Is that what you
want?
