Guest Book

I offer a Guest Book on my website, intended, of course,
for positive comments. However, trollers just love to
post some really hateful messages--and we go through
periods of getting dozens at a time. I know I can remove
the messages, but I prefer to be able to setup an approval
process for the messages before they get posted. The
visitor would submit the message, which I would view, and
then approve or disapprove. Can this be done? I have FP
2003.

No, it can't be done with the FP guest book.

If you are willing to look at all the messages prior to
them being posted on your site, I would suggest that
your "guestbook" be created as a Front Page form that is
emailed to you.

If the user is sending you comment that you want to
include in the "guestbook", copy and paste it onto a page
on your web that would act as your guestbook page. The
page would be a standard webpage that you would perhaps
want to name "Visitor comments".

If the comment is hateful, simply delete the email.
