If you go to bravenet.com, you may find a guestbook that
will deliver you better results, visual, contextual and
features (Easy to create). Their FREE guestbook will
allow you to custom design your book as you like. The
paid version even allows more options. What I like is the
fact that bravenet allows you to see the IP address of
whoever is making a post (visitors can't see them, just
you). This allows you to prohibit certain visitors from
posting at your site. Also, you can put restrictions on
language. Their HTML code includes a .gif. However, you
can create and replace the .gif to fit your site design.
Try Bravenet and experiment on a blank page until it
suits your taste, then add it to your site.
