Guestlog.htm

I can't get the new comments to get posted at the top of my site. I want
all new "posts" to be at the top so that it is easily readable. I see on
the properties of the form, where you can remove the checkmark on the option
that says "Latest Results at End". If checked, latest guest comments should
be at the bottom. I unchecked this, however, all web (guest comments) still
post at the bottom.

Any ideas?

You have to create a new guestbook, otherwise the change will only effect
new items.

I was only interest in the new post going to the top. I'm not concerned
with the existing.
Do I still have to create a new guestbook still?

Change the setting should do what you want with new post, as long as you are
not concerned with the order of prior post.

That's my point. I want to simply change the way all new posts are done. I
want them to be at the top. This is what is NOT happening. No matter what
the settings are, the new post goes to the bottom.

Any idea why

Try opening the live site directly in FP and run Tools | Recalculate
Hyperlinks. If that doesn't solve the issue, then you will need to create a
new one with the correct settings.

That's because the location of the bot tag is set when the page is
created and, once created, it is not affected when changing the check
mark status.

Open guestlog.htm (if that's what your entries file is called) in the
_private folder. In the live site. Go to the bottom of the form in
design mode and move (cut/paste) the bot tag "Form Results Inserted
Here" to the top of the form. From now on all your new entries will
be at the top.

You might want to make a safe copy of the page before attempting this.
BTW, if there are not too many entries in the log, the order is easily
reversed with cut/paste.

The recalculate links did not work. I finally deleted the guest page on the
server and on my web page. I recreated it. Everything seems to be working
now. I was able to save the previous comments. I put all the comments back
and all is fine.

Thanks for your help.
