Guestlog page has mystery entries??

Looks like some folks have "scripts" that crawl the web, find guestbooks,
and script in some junk entries? When I open my guestlog page to remove the
junk - its not visible! How can I fix? Protect?

Open guestlog.htm and edit there.

Open guestlog.htm on the live server and edit there.
Limited protection (from scripts) can be achieved by renaming the
guestbook.htm to some other name.
