It sounds like you upgraded your old version of Word instead of just adding
2007 to your system. If your computer really is from 2001, then no, you
could not have had Word 2003. Where did you get it?

I didnt upgrade, i downloaded a TRIAL for one month. I already typed that my
computer is from DELL. Which was ordered with MICROSOFT WORD in 2002. NOW

Hi Carrie,

Dell should have included the Office CD with the computer, but it may also have been shipped as an image on the PC that you would
then extract to a CD from that.

Have ou contacted Dell on their policies for your particular model in that time frame?

Is MS Office 2003 listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel?

The default behavior of the Office 2007 trial products is to not remove any prior versions.

Carrie: I note that your answer from MSN was oblique. I have registered XP
Office product, also OEM from DELL. I tried Office 2007, Word
etc, and
was not satisfied. That is when I discovered that MSN without
permission
deleted my installed Office 2002. Apparently when in doubt they
assume you are illegal and delete. A bit of a problem I
understand with
new OEM boxes that do not come with programs CD's. I would
consider this a theft of property if in fact you have a registered version
and were just
confused about the dates. This is understandable if you do not have a disc
and
you cannot open a product to look in Help/About in last window and determine
your product ID. Shame on Microsoft. I still cannot delete the unwanted
2007 version: I get error message:

MS OFC Pro 2007 Trial

Version 12.0.4518.1014

Product ID: 81605-302-2402231-65701

On CP/Removal, gets Setup Error Message:
"The language of this installation package is not supported
" by your system."
