Hard page break

Have a document into which we're inserting a hard page
break in the middle of a paragraph. When the hard page
break is inserted, the second half of the paragraph (now
at the top of the second page) is indented. How do I tell
it not to? Thank you.

When you insert a page break "in the middle of a paragraph," Word also
inserts a paragraph break (believe me, you do not want to experience the
problems that used to be created by not doing so), so the text at the top of
the page is a new paragraph, whether you like it or not. Either remove the
indent or (preferably) apply an unindented but otherwise identical style. My
book layouts always include a Body Text style (used after headings) and a
Body Text First Indent style (used for the remaining paragraphs), so I just
substitute the Body Text style in these cases.
