Hard space

My data to be merged into a Word document is an Excel
file. I want to be able to put hard spaces in character
fields so that data does not wrap once the merge is done.
If I insert an hard space in my Excel field, the hard
space disappears once merged. Any idea?

Tricky... I'm not sure this can done at all with mail merge.

What character code do you use in Excel to insert a
non-breaking space?
