Hash and Pound sign

For some reason the pound sign on my keyboard (situated
above the Number 3 key) now displays the # sign instead.
This only occurs in Outlook. Any ideas how to fix it?

This isn't something in Outlook but about which input locale you have
installed.

Go to Control Panel-> Regional and Language Options-> tab Languages-> button
Details. In the screen you see there remove every keyboard setting you
aren't using.
