have publisher can i add excel

I have games that work on excel but not on my laptop that has publisher. Is
it possible to have excel as well

Yes, you can have Excel installed as well as Publisher as long as you
have sufficient room on your hard disc - It is probably more cost-
effective to get MS Office rather than just Excel.
