Have Windows 7 Need office software to open mdi files

Purchased new Fujitsu with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Professional and
unable to open by Microsoft Document Imagining files from my former Fujitsu
XP which had the software but bombed out with the internal drive and nothing
in Office Professional helps open my files - what do I do now?

When you installed Office Professional (what version?) did you also install
MDI section. It may not have been installed. Do you have it available in
Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools? If not it wasn't
installed. You need to reinstall adding that feature.

If it is installed, what happens if you open the program first and then try
to open the .mdi file? Exact error messages will help a lot.
