having a user attach a file

G

Glenn

I need to have a couple of my secure users upload a picture in addition the
information they are currently filling out on a form.

Is this possible? Are there some good directions?

G

Glenn

I've tried that, over and over, and continue to get this error on my web
page:

[FrontPage FileUpload Component

I've also tried to recalculate the web, both from the site and the server
itself.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you check with your host to see if you are allowed to use this component?

I am the host. I primarily use the server just as an email server. I'm now
trying to do more on the website, and am not sure how to do a few things.

How do I allow myself to use this component?

Thanks,
Glenn

You need to review the following on to set up and configure the FP2002 server extensions:

I believe I have the server extensions set up. I can make forms and have
the results e-mailed to me and/or sent to a database, so that part is
working fine.

I just can't figure out why I can't get the upload to work.

If the extensions are configured correctly, when you add the upload component to a .htm(l) page and
specify the folder FP will set the permissions necessary to allow files to be uploaded, which are
limited to a maximum size of 1 MB.

If the upload component is inserted in .asp page etc., it will not work.
