Having trouble with downloaded clip art

I have downloaded clips from microsoft.com many times before. However, my
recent downloads do not show up in the Clip Gallery.
When I explore into my C:\Documents and Settings\This User\Application
Data\Microsoft\Media Catalog\Downloaded Clips folder, I can see all of the
graphics I downloaded.
How can I get these to import into the Clip Gallery and still have the
keywords, etc. that normally come with them? I'd really hate to have to
download them all again.

I assume you mean the Organizer. Do you download the file or open it on site? When
you open the selected images does the Organizer open? When you double-click the
download does the Organizer open?

Empty your cache, in IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files. The Organizer uses
the temp folder for the downloads, if it is full your download will fail. You may see
the clips but the keywords will be missing.

*No, I don't mean the Organizer. I have Publisher 2000 SP-3, and the clip
art is handled through the Clip Gallery.
Do you download the file or open it on site?
*Hmm. According to the website's process, I "download" the clips, but when
the option to "save" or "open" the files, it indicates to select "open."
They usually pop up in the Clip Gallery in the downloaded files category when
completed.
When you open the selected images does the Organizer open? When you double-click the download does the Organizer open?
*No and No. When I open the clips directly from the application data
subfolder the Windows picture and fax viewer opens to show the image. If I
drag and drop the image from the folder into a Publisher document, then
double click it, the Insert Picture window opens and shows the My Pictures
folder.
Empty your cache, in IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files. The Organizer uses
the temp folder for the downloads, if it is full your download will fail. You may see the clips but the keywords will be missing.
*I tried clearing the cache and this didn't correct the problem.

Look in the "Lost and Found" category in the catalog. Un-cataloged images will end up
there.

Do you have any Office XP or Office 2003 applications installed?
Do you see an option for Clip Organizer under Start > All Programs >
Microsoft Office Tools?

If so, your pictures may be importing into the wrong gallery. You will want
to check the file format that you are downloading from the Office Online
Clipart site in, and make sure that it is set to CIL and not MPF.

Right-click any image in the catalog, click recover, this will compact your
Gallery... Might be the problem.

Mary & Ed,
Thank you for your help. None of the suggestions worked, so I finally
decided to wade through the process of importing the clips into the Clip
Gallery from the folder I had found them in and just manually assigned a
description word for each. It was tedious, but I don't know what else to do.

No, nothing found there.

No, my programs are all Office 2000 Professional suite. I don't have
the Clip Organizer. I have Clip Gallery 5.0.

No, this didn't work either.
