Header extends over whole page

Has anyone encountered a strange expansion of the document header to
enclose everything on a page except the standard-sized footer? I did
not have "view header" selected when I created the document, so I
didn't accidentally type into it. I see this problem primarily when
the document content is a table -- generally one that extends for 5-15
pages. (I won't mention the horror of trying to print such a document:
missing table rows, repeated table rows, blah, blah, blah.) Any
suggestions for the header problem?

Yes, I have seen it once before, but I can't remember what caused it.

To fix it, save the file as a web page, then close Word, open Word, open the
web page version using File>Open, and re-save as a Doc.

If that doesn't work, email me a copy of the document, and I will take a
look. To email me, add the password "294510@z14g2000cwz" to the message
subject line or your message will be deleted by my firewall.

Cheers

This *might* be affected by Format | Document, Layout, make sure Vertical
alignment is set to Top. That's the fix for a similar sounding problem, but
I'm not sure this is the same issue.
