Header shows page 1 of 4 on screen, but prints page 1 of 1

Why can't I get the header to print correctly. It shows it correctly on the
screen, but in printing it prints page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2 instead of page 1
of 4, page 2 of 4. thanks
