headers and footers don't appear in merged document

Hi,

I have a template with a header and footer (company logo, contact details).
After the mail merge there are no headers and footers on the generated
documents. So far I have found out this is because the last paragraph mark,
which contains the header/footer information and is also a Next Page type of
section break, is cut off of each record as it is merged. When I insert a
continuous section break just before the last paragraph mark of the main
merge document I do get header/footer in the generated documents, but also a
blank page after each letter/section.

Any way to resolve this?

Hi Dainkes,

It sounds like you're doing the merge entirely in Word?
You may want to also post this in the Word Mailmerge newsgroup
(link below) and include the version of Word, the data source
and the type of merge output you're using (list, letters, etc).
