headers and footers

When I use a header or footer and try to insert the file
name and path all I get is' FILENAME \p 'with a squere
before FILENAME and one after \p. It doesn't matter if
the document is saved on the server or on the local
machine. Any idea why this is happening?

Press Alt+F9 to toggle the display in the document, or clear the check box
for "Field codes" on the View tab of Tools | Options. If the field code is
also printing, clear the check box for "Field codes" on the Print tab of
Tools | Options.
