Headers don't download

I use OE usually for MS newsgroups. Often I see the status as 500 downloaded
and 7000 not downloaded. When I click on Download...NOTHING HAPPENS. This is
an all too frequent event. I then have to go somewhere else to look for help.

Change the news server. I use my ISP's news server. I may see an occasional
spam message that another server may block but it's not too bad.

Check this area: In OE click Tools, Options, and on the menu that opens
click the Read tab. Once there, look at the bottom for the News section.
If there is a check mark on Get xxxx headers at a time, remove the check
mark. You also should click on Headers on the top menu bar to download more
headers or to refresh your current list.

I'll do this if necessary, but it has not been so in the past. It makes no
sense. Historically, if I checked 500 headers and clicked Send and Receive, I
would get the next 500 headers. That makes sense.
